 Do you feel like you are trapped in a hamster wheel?

The more you try to find out what you are meant to be, what your life purpose really is, the faster the hamster wheel keeps spinning?

 

You see, the «hamster wheel syndrome» (as I call it) is extremely stressful and makes you more and more anxious day by day. And you are not alone running that stressful wheel. Believe me. 
...It's just something that we don't speak out load in our every day life.
(I was running for a while myself)

So, why is it that someone seems to know what their purpose in life really is, while other people are spinning around, more and more tired and stressed out minute by minute?

There are several reasons for this huge difference. The difference that make some people stuck, while others have total clarity on their mission in life.

 

 

If you are one of those who are stuck in your own hamster wheel, you will find value from this blog post as we are going to dive into some of the reasons for being trapped inside that wheel...

(These are the reasons I discovered by doing my interviews with women on both sides, the ones that had found their life purpose and the ones still spinning around).

 

Are you ready? Let's dig into the 3 most common reasons for being trapped in the hamster wheel:

  1. Other people's expectations of you are blinding you so you can't see your real purpose in life
  2. It's a mismatch between your values and what you are meant to do
  3. Your mind blocks and fears make you keep running

 

 

Now that we have revealed the three most common reasons, let's take a look at why we let these reasons hinder us from living the life we deserve and desire:

 

# 1 Other peoples expectations of you are blinding you so you can't see your real purpose in life

Good hearted people have a tendency to want to please those around them. Do you feel aligned to this?

Like your parents (even if you live 200 miles away, or they are not here on this earth any longer). Or your husband and kids, your colleagues and your friends. Even your former teachers! (Oh yes, even your former teachers!) It might sound weird, but even if it's like 100 years since we graduated from school, our subconscious mind tells us to do what other people expect of us. You see the picture?

What you have to do is to get those blinders off. And use what you learn regarding their expectations for something good, something meaningful! Think of this work as an important part of your treasure map! 

 

# 2 It's a mismatch between your values and what you are meant to do

Have you ever thought that some of your values might prevent you from being doing what you are meant to do?
Or to make it clear: that your values can be some kind of an enemy, so you don't find your mission?

We all know that «the minute» we find our mission, our purpose in life, what we are really really meant to be;
That minute we become ready to create and claim our dream career. That minute we can continue our journey towards the life we deserve and desire.

And do we deserve it? Oh yes we do! Don't you agree?

But the most important thing is to not keep sitting on the fence while you work on your values. The important thing is to just start. Step by step. Like baby steps in the beginning, but keep walking. Keep working on your values so you can reach the destination you are here to reach.

 

# 3 Your mind blocks and fears make you keep running

They will make you keep running, and running. Trust me.

You see, it's how our brain is made. We are built that way. When we face fears (and mind blocks) our mind tells us to «RUN  RUN RUN!».

That instinct is what kept people from being killed by wild animals back in the days when man lived in caves. And it prevents us from being trapped when we face real fears today, when our only way out is to start running. 

But most of our mind blocks and fears when it comes to who we are meant to be, is not something we need to worry about.

Most of our fears are not real. Not at all.
